Meet me in the studio, AND hold yourself accountable to produce your best work.
Clear the noise and find your rhythm
Sometimes even the best artists are unsure of their next step. An outside opinion and change of environment can help bring clarity and spark new ideas.
Your barriers may be technical, or perhaps are rooted in a struggle to change perspective or push yourself further.
It can often be a lonely journey making art, and maybe all you need is the company of another artist to work alongside you for a while.
This is What I offer that a youtube channel can’t
An honest opinion, in a safe environment, from a practising artist. You’ll be getting input from someone in the arena, not someone loitering in the grandstands.
Warm encouragement, because art is hard! As Degas noted, ‘Painting is easy when you don't know how, but very difficult when you do.’
I’ll meet you where you’re at. I’ve taught art for a long time now. I’ve worked in most mediums, experimented with many styles and gone down many rabbit holes!
Tell me what you’re looking at online and I’ll help weigh up or contextualise what you’ve seen.
If you’re already a practising artist, we’ll look at your work and see where you want to go.
If you’re a newbie, I have a series of assignments for you to do which help you grow in manageable bite sizes.
